Questions and Answer

Q.After having an intercourse, there is this creamy substance comes out from my wife's vagina. Do we have to worry about it? Or is it normal? Should we see our Gynec. immediately.

A. If there is an abnormal odor to the substance (such as a foul or fishy odor), or if she is noticing it occuring at other times, she should see her GYN to rule out a possible vaginal infection. However, at a woman's fertile time, her cervical fluid can occur in a substantial amount, and can look creamy after being combined with your semen after intercourse. It is also normal for some semen to be discharged from the vagina right after and then later on after intercourse (like after she gets up and walks around). It should be clear to whitish and can be relatively thick/creamy.
