Ask A Childbirth Educator Questions and Answer
Q.I am 14 weeks pregnant and my son is a year old and has been exposed to a
child with Roseola. If my son ends up coming down with Roseola, is there any
harm to me? (My mom is pretty sure that I had it as a child.) Thanks. >>
A.
Roseola is a common infection in infants and very young children. Once you
have had roseola, you have lifetime immunity. I was completely unable to find
any references to adults contracting roseola, nor any references on harm to
the developing baby from being exposed. Apparently, there is no risk to you or
your baby.
