Ask A Doula Questions and Answer
Q. What are good positions to have sex in during the third trimester of pregnancy?
A. Well, basically anything that's comfortable! You can try laying on your side
with your partner in front of or behind you, or on all fours with your partner
behind you, or reclining on the edge of the bed with your feet off the bed
and your partner kneeling in front of you. You can try being on top of your
partner or standing up with your partner behind you. It is okay to recline
for a short while, if you don't get short of breathe, but try to prop yourself
up with lots of pillows. If you are not interested in intercourse, then of
course the positions you can assume are limitless.
