Questions and Answers

Q. I had a c-section 8 weeks ago and my breast are still the same size as they were before the birth and they are still producing milk, but I do not breast feed. What's wrong?

A. Nothing is wrong. Your body is doing it's job. It will take awhile for your breasts to quit producing milk even if you are not breastfeeding. Ensure that you are not pumping, or squeezing the breasts as that will only further stimulate them.

We used to give medications, usually Parlodel, to dry up a woman's milk supply. It was not very effective and we have found that it may also cause cancer in the mother.
