Ask A Nurse Questions and Answers
Q. I am a first time mom, my baby was born in Febuary. He is four months old
an I am concern about my period, don't you think that I should have a
period by now, I am not breast feeding, so what is the holdup? Please
answer my question.
A. Your period will generally return between six weeks and six months after delivery. If you are breast feeding it may take even longer to return. You still fall within this category, however, if you are nervous, you may wish to see your practitioner to ensure all is well.
