Merri's Birth
I had a very unique pregnancy and the birth of my daughter has changed my
life. I am not a very good story teller but I will try to relay the
information as best I can.
My daughter Merri was born Dec25,1993 at 11:07pm with the aid of
forceps. I carried her for only 29 weeks and I did not know until I was
in labour that I was even pregnant. The reason why she is my miracle is
that I was on birth control, had major knee surgery when I was 3 months
along, and if that was not bad enough I did everything that you are not
to do when you are expecting.
I had a regular mentral cycle right up until I gave birth. I smoked,
drank ect. and the miracle is that I had this child that was born with no
serious birth defects. She has an umbilacle hernia, strawberry marks and
that is it.
She weighed 4lbs 2oz at birth but went down to 3lbs 6oz, which is as low
as she went. I was in active labour for 52hrs before I went into the
hospital so I was unable to make any choices as to the type of delivery.
But she is know 2 and a half and the pride and joy of my life. the only
regret is that I wish I had known I was pregnant so that I could have
given her the best start in life instead of the one she got. But the
funny thing is that when I went to the hospital even they did not believe
that I was pregnant because I had not gained any weight and did not show
except for a very hard stomach.
